Appears to be common problem with AsMedia USB 3.0 ports. One video had add on USB 3.0 ports to mother board from Insignia. Seemed to work for him.580 New member 10-13-2017 10:41 AM Product: HP Pavilion 15-au007nx Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) Hello, I have 3 USB ports two 3.0 and one 2.0 one of them the 3.0 doesn't work I have tried plugging in an external hard disk and mouse they seem to work fine on the other two ports. One cause of faulty USB 3.0 ports is faulty or missing drivers. Fortunately, updating your Windows system with the latest drivers can help reinstall them. Click on the Start button and then
In the drivers download area I got the Texas Instruments TUSB73x0 Host controller, v.1.12.14.0, A02 (TI USB 3.0 Win7 driver A01 release), at first time execution this uninstall all the USB ports, and on second time execution this install as new all the USB ports. Then it works for me.
Plug the device into another USB port. Remove any USB hubs and connect the device to a USB port on the computer. Disconnect the device from the computer. Right-click the device, and select Uninstall. Check the box next to Delete the driver software for this device (if it is shown). In Windows, search for and open Device Manager . The Device Manager window opens. Double-click Universal Serial Bus Controllers to expand the list. Double-click a USB Root Hub, click the Power tab, then click Power Properties (if it is shown). Note: The Power tab displays only in USB 2.0. Thanks for the replay, I already did install new windows. the problem seems to be with windows 10 cause I plug my External Hard Drive USB 3.0 it was responding either. when I plugged USB 2.0 with the same hard disk it starts working on both laptops. although all drivers are up to date. but ports for USB 3.0 not working I guess I will wait for windows 10 update to fix this.
